SUPPLY CHAIN ADVISOR
(12-month contract, to start immediately, Jakarta based)
Report to the Sr. Supply Chain Advisor, the job holder is responsible for providing a professional service to the procurement, contracting, supply, materials, logistics or process development from initiation by customer through to post award issues. Working closely with customers, particularly in relation to identifying best business solutions, the incumbent should manage specific projects and initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of the Supply Chain Department or service it provides. The position requires to be actively building operating level relationships with contractors, suppliers, other operators, industry bodies etc
Key Responsibilities:
· As assigned by the Supervisor/Team Leader/Manager, work with customers to understand business issues and requirements to fully define outputs required from the Supply Chain project.
· As appropriate opportunities arise, and in the light of own knowledge of the market place and the customer’s business issues, offer alternative methods and specifications where other ‘fit for purpose’ options exist.
· Under Team Leader/Manager direction, handle all stages of the Supply Chain process, communicating effectively with customer contacts, suppliers, contractors & other personnel, throughout activity cycle.
· In the case of tendering, under Team Leader/Manager direction handle overall tender processes, including determination of appropriate tender recipients using existing selection procedures. Evaluate proposals with the customer to identify the best business solution as opposed to the ideal technical solution or the lowest price. Draft proposals to management and Bid Committee documentation.
· Develop working relationships that motivate suppliers and contractors to collaborate & deliver level of service and to facilitate the speedy and effective resolution of issues.
· Maintain communication with customers, keeping them informed of any necessary changes to the specification/terms of service with the supplier/contractor.
· Plan and schedule work activities (typically 3 month timeframe), within prescribed parameters, to manage own and colleagues time.
· Promote innovation and continual improvement in working practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
Likely to be Degree qualified (or equivalent vocational standard). Technical background is preferred
Professionally qualified, or working towards membership (eg CPM, CIPS or equivalent)
5 years overall working experience with minimum 3 years in procurement and contracting areas
Fluency in English both spoken and written

SUPPLY CHAIN ADVISOR
(12-month contract, to start immediately, Jakarta based)
Report to the Sr. Supply Chain Advisor, the job holder is responsible for providing a professional service to the procurement, contracting, supply, materials, logistics or process development from initiation by customer through to post award issues. Working closely with customers, particularly in relation to identifying best business solutions, the incumbent should manage specific projects and initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of the Supply Chain Department or service it provides. The position requires to be actively building operating level relationships with contractors, suppliers, other operators, industry bodies etc
Key Responsibilities:
· As assigned by the Supervisor/Team Leader/Manager, work with customers to understand business issues and requirements to fully define outputs required from the Supply Chain project.
· As appropriate opportunities arise, and in the light of own knowledge of the market place and the customer’s business issues, offer alternative methods and specifications where other ‘fit for purpose’ options exist.
· Under Team Leader/Manager direction, handle all stages of the Supply Chain process, communicating effectively with customer contacts, suppliers, contractors & other personnel, throughout activity cycle.
· In the case of tendering, under Team Leader/Manager direction handle overall tender processes, including determination of appropriate tender recipients using existing selection procedures. Evaluate proposals with the customer to identify the best business solution as opposed to the ideal technical solution or the lowest price. Draft proposals to management and Bid Committee documentation.
· Develop working relationships that motivate suppliers and contractors to collaborate & deliver level of service and to facilitate the speedy and effective resolution of issues.
· Maintain communication with customers, keeping them informed of any necessary changes to the specification/terms of service with the supplier/contractor.
· Plan and schedule work activities (typically 3 month timeframe), within prescribed parameters, to manage own and colleagues time.
· Promote innovation and continual improvement in working practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
Likely to be Degree qualified (or equivalent vocational standard). Technical background is preferred
Professionally qualified, or working towards membership (eg CPM, CIPS or equivalent)
5 years overall working experience with minimum 3 years in procurement and contracting areas
Fluency in English both spoken and written
